SculpSure is the first noninvasive liposuction system approved by the FDA for removal of fat in the belly and flanks. The system works by directing laser energy deep below the skin’s surface, heating fat cells and breaking them down without the need for suction and incisions. Laser energy is administered through a handheld device that features
a special cooling surface to keep the upper layers of skin comfortable during treatment. The energy delivery system is designed to ensure consistent application throughout the treatment zone for better results, and multiple areas can be treated in as little as 25 minutes. Most patients see initial results in six weeks, with optimal results at about 12 weeks after treatment.

Post-treatment Instructions:
- You may experience mild redness, tenderness, swelling, pain, itching and skin firmness.
- Tenderness may last up to two weeks or a bit longer in some patients.
- Use a cold compress and/or acetaminophen (Tylenol) to help relieve tenderness.
- Avoid taking NSAID (ibuprofen, Motrin).
- Gently massage the area twice a day for 5-10 minutes.
- You may resume normal daily activities including exercise immediately post treatment.
- Encourage proper hydration and light physical activity to help mobilize fat via the lymphatic system.

SculpSure is noninvasive, and because it penetrates through the skin, the skin is not affected. There is no risk of skin damage. There is no risk of uneven results, but occasionally some patients develop nodules as the fat melts, but these typically resolve with time.
