Sculptra® is a biostimulatory filler made of poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates your body to produce collagen, gradually restoring volume and improving skin texture over time.

Sculptra® is commonly used in the cheeks, temples, jawline, and nasolabial folds. It can also be used in the body (such as the buttocks or hips) for non-surgical volume enhancement and skin tightening.

Most patients need a series of 2 to 3 treatments, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart, for optimal results. The exact number depends on your goals, age, and how much volume loss is present.

No—unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra® is a collagen stimulator, not an instant filler. It works gradually by encouraging your body to produce its own collagen, which creates a more natural and long-lasting improvement in volume and skin texture.

Discomfort is minimal. Sculptra® is injected with a small needle or cannula, and a numbing agent (lidocaine) is typically mixed into the product to make the procedure more comfortable.

Downtime is minimal. You may experience slight swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, but these effects typically resolve within a few days. You'll also be instructed to massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days after each session to help distribute the product evenly.
