  • Sculptra® is a biostimulatory filler made of poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates your body to produce collagen, gradually restoring volume and improving skin texture over time.

  • Sculptra® is commonly used in the cheeks, temples, jawline, and nasolabial folds. It can also be used in the body (such as the buttocks or hips) for non-surgical volume enhancement and skin tightening.

  • Results develop gradually over several weeks as collagen production increases. Most patients begin to see noticeable improvement after about 4–6 weeks.

  • Sculptra® results can last up to 2 years or longer, depending on the individual and the treatment plan/

Frequently Asked Questions about Sculptra®?

  • Most patients need a series of 2 to 3 treatments, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart, for optimal results. The exact number depends on your goals, age, and how much volume loss is present.

  • No—unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra® is a collagen stimulator, not an instant filler. It works gradually by encouraging your body to produce its own collagen, which creates a more natural and long-lasting improvement in volume and skin texture.

  • Discomfort is minimal. Sculptra® is injected with a small needle or cannula, and a numbing agent (lidocaine) is typically mixed into the product to make the procedure more comfortable.

  • Downtime is minimal. You may experience slight swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, but these effects typically resolve within a few days. You'll also be instructed to massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days after each session to help distribute the product evenly.
