Graduated from a top medical school in India and conducted award-winning cancer gene therapy research in San Diego, publishing in leading journals.

Many people are surprised to learn that Plastic Surgeons and Cosmetic Surgeons are not the same. Board-certified Plastic Surgeons undergo significantly more extensive and specialized training, including years of surgical residency and rigorous certification. This advanced education ensures a deeper understanding of both aesthetics and complex anatomy, providing patients with a higher level of safety, skill, and results.

Experience

With over 18 years of experience, Dr. Gupta began private practice in 2009 after completing advanced training in general and plastic surgery. Early in his career, he focused on complex reconstructive procedures like facial trauma, hand injuries, and cancer-related surgeries. That same dedication now guides his approach to aesthetic surgery.

Verve Plastic Surgery has grown steadily through word-of-mouth and referrals from patients and medical professionals. We proudly serve the San Diego area—including La Jolla, Encinitas, and Carlsbad—as well as patients who travel from out of state and internationally for Dr. Gupta’s care.

He has provided pro bono reconstructive surgeries for women affected by domestic violence and has participated in international medical missions to El Salvador, where he treated children with congenital deformities and burn injuries.
