Meet California’s Preservé™ Expert
Dr. Anshu Gupta is proud to be one of the first surgeons in San Diego to be officially certified in the revolutionary Preservé™ technique. By being at the forefront of this movement, he has helped introduce a more advanced, gentle alternative to traditional breast surgery for our community. At Verve Plastic Surgery, we believe that early adoption of these breakthrough methods is key to providing our patients with the best possible care. Choosing a surgeon who was among the very first to master these tools means you are trusting your journey to a leader who has been dedicated to the "tissue-sparing" philosophy since it first arrived in Southern California.
So, what makes Preservé™ so special? Think of it as the "tissue-friendly" way to achieve your dream look. Instead of the traditional cutting used in most surgeries, Dr. Gupta uses a gentle expansion method that works with your body’s natural "internal bra"—the ligaments that keep your breasts lifted and stable. By preserving these natural supports rather than disrupting them, we can offer you a much lighter recovery, more natural movement, and a tiny, discreet scar that is often only about the size of a postage stamp. It’s the perfect choice for the woman who wants beautiful, lasting results without the downtime of old-fashioned surgery.
What is Preservé?
-
Minimally-invasive breast surgery utilizing tissue preservation, specialized technologies, and techniques to reshape the breast while conserving its intrinsic structure and function.
-
Unlike traditional surgery that cuts through support tissues, Preservé™ works with your anatomy. Dr. Gupta uses a gentle expansion technique to keep your natural ligaments intact. This creates a built-in "internal bra" that holds your implants in place and prevents sagging over time.
-
We believe in big results with small footprints. By using specialized Motiva® insertion tools, Dr. Gupta can perform the entire procedure through an ultra-small incision—often only about 2.5cm to 3cm. This means your scar is roughly the size of a postage stamp and discreetly hidden.
-
Because we "preserve" rather than "cut," your body experiences significantly less trauma. This "tissue-sparing" method minimizes bruising and swelling, allowing many Verve patients to return to their daily routines much faster than with old-fashioned surgical methods.
-
By protecting the nerves and blood vessels around the breast, Preservé™ helps maintain your natural nipple sensation. Paired with the Ergonomix2® implant, your breasts won't just look beautiful—they will move and feel like a natural part of you.
Are You Eligible?
-
This technique is specifically designed for primary (first-time) breast augmentations. Because it relies on preserving your existing ligaments and tissues, it is not typically suitable for revision surgeries where tissue has already been altered.
-
This is for candidates who want the smallest scar possible. Using the MinimalScar® technique, the incision is only 2.5 cm, leaving a mark that is barely noticeable once healed.
-
You are a candidate if you prefer a moderate, natural-looking increase (usually 1–2 cup sizes). This method uses smaller, lighter implants that don't weigh down your natural tissue.
-
Perfect if you are an athlete or highly active. The implant is placed without cutting into your pectoral muscles, meaning you keep your full strength and have a much faster recovery.
-
Best for candidates with good skin elasticity. The procedure uses your own internal ligaments (the "Internal Bra") to hold the implant in place, rather than relying on heavy surgical reconstruction.
-
Ideal for those who cannot afford long downtimes. Because the surgery is less traumatic to the body, many candidates are back to their normal routine within 2 to 3 days.
