Front View
This patient, who was also undergoing breast reconstruction, desired abdominal contouring and presented with a ventral hernia. Dr. Gupta performed an abdominoplasty, removing 972 grams of excess tissue from the lower abdomen (pannus). Liposuction of the upper abdomen was performed using the tumescent technique, with 3,000cc of fluid injected and 2,300cc of fat removed. The ventral hernia, which did not cause any obstruction or tissue damage (gangrene), was repaired during the surgery. This procedure not only improved the patient's abdominal contour, but also resolved the hernia.
