Thigh Lifts
What is a Thigh Lift?
A thigh lift is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and fat from the inner or outer thighs to create a smoother, firmer, and more toned appearance. It is often performed on individuals who have experienced significant weight loss or natural aging, which can lead to loose, sagging skin in the thigh area.
By tightening the skin and reshaping the thighs, a thigh lift can improve comfort, enhance body contour, and help you feel more confident in clothing that reveals the legs.

Why a Thigh Lift?
-
A thigh lift eliminates excess skin and tissue—often caused by weight loss or aging—to create smoother, firmer thighs.
-
The procedure helps reshape and tighten the thighs, giving them a more toned, proportionate appearance.
-
Removing heavy, sagging skin can reduce chafing, irritation, and discomfort, making exercise and daily movement easier.
-
Many patients feel more comfortable and confident wearing shorts, skirts, or swimwear after a thigh lift.

The Procedure
Here’s what you can expect during your thigh lift procedure.
-
You will be placed under general anesthesia for your comfort.
Before surgery, Dr. Gupta will mark the inner thighs to outline the incision pattern and determine how much skin and tissue will be removed.
-
Depending on your goals and the amount of excess skin, incisions may be placed in the groin crease only (minimal lift) or extend down the inner thigh for more significant tightening.
Dr. Gupta will choose the incision type that achieves optimal lift with minimal visibility.
-
Loose skin and excess fat are surgically removed from the inner or outer thigh region.
This helps eliminate sagging, improve skin tone, and reshape the leg contours.
-
The remaining skin is carefully re-draped and tightened to achieve a smoother, firmer look.
If necessary, liposuction may also be performed to further refine the shape and reduce bulk in surrounding areas.
-
Incisions are closed in multiple layers to provide strong internal support and reduce tension on the skin.
Waterproof dressings are applied, and you’ll be placed in a compression garment to reduce swelling and support healing.
-
This is an outpatient procedure, so you’ll go home the same day.
Swelling and bruising are expected during the first few weeks. You’ll need to limit strenuous activity for 4–6 weeks, and final results will become more visible as swelling subsides over the next few months.
