More about Botox

Botox is one of the leading wrinkle treatments used in cosmetic practices today. It works by temporarily paralyzing the facial muscles that contract and form wrinkles. Botox is injected into the muscles and blocks the nerve signals in the treatment area to temporarily suspend muscle movement. As the muscles relax, so do the overlying wrinkles.

Botox is great for improving the look of frown lines (vertical lines that develop between the eyebrows) and crow’s feet around the outside corners of the eyes. The wrinkle-relaxing effects last temporarily— typically between four to six months — and repeat treatments are recommended to maintain the results.

We also offer Dysport and Xeomin, which are alternatives to Botox. Both are FDA-approved.

More about Latisse

Latisse is a new eyelash treatment for eyelash hypotrichosis or for those simply desiring longer, fuller and darker lashes  Latisse is applied topically to the base of the upper eyelashes just once a day. The full effects of Latisse treatment can be seen at 16 weeks and results will begin to show at week 4. Latisse treatment is FDA approved.

Latisse is believed to work by increasing the growth cycle (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle. Anagen is the growth phase of all hair. It is proposed that Latisse increases the length of the anagen phase and the number of hairs that grow in this phase.

Clinical trials of Latisse showed lashes were:
25% longer
106% fuller
18% darker

More about Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are injectable products used to restore youthful shape and volume to areas of the face that are lacking, to fill in deep creases and folds around the nose and mouth, and to enhance specific facial features.

There are a number of dermal filler products available. The type of filler that we recommend for you is based on your treatment goals. For example, if you want to enhance your cupid’s bow or define the contours of your cheeks, chin or jawline, Juvederm and Radiesse may be good options. If you want larger, fuller lips, Restylane is a great choice. If your cheeks have lost their youthful round quality, there is a filler designed to add volume specifically to that area: Juvederm Voluma XC.

Like Botox, the results of dermal fillers last temporarily. Depending upon the filler used, the effects may last anywhere between 9 and 24 months. Repeat treatments are recommended to maintain the effects.
